The Omkara bliss school · Luxembourg

A school of transmission, in Luxembourg

Omkara bliss trains those who want to pass on what they know, or to care for others through sound therapy: applied sound therapy for practitioners already trained, yoga and sound for children, and short workshops for families.

Courses and workshops

Where to start

Each path speaks to a different audience and reads independently of the other two.

Applied sound therapy

Beyond the instrument: session technique, accompanying instruments, particular audiences. For trained practitioners who want to widen their practice.

Yoga & sound for children

Professional training to work with children through yoga and through sound. Child pedagogy counts as much as technique here.

Yoga teachers · teachers · educators · therapists

Family workshops

Short sessions, no prerequisites: discover sound as a pair or as a family, learn two or three simple gestures and leave with enough to repeat them at home. Nobody becomes a practitioner in a day, and that is not the point.

Parents · grandparents · no prerequisites

What stays the same across every course

One way of teaching

More practice than listening

Theory stays in the margins. Most of the time is spent playing, leading, getting it wrong and starting again in front of someone.

You receive as much as you give

Every participant takes both roles: the one leading the session and the one receiving it. Knowing what you make someone feel changes how you do it.

You leave with written protocols

Session outlines, timings, instrument order, opening and closing words: enough to reopen the folder three months later and pick up the thread.

We say where the practice stops/p>

Contraindications, consent, referral to a health professional: limits are part of the work and are taught like the rest.

The Omkara bliss school

A naturopath and nutritional therapist, certified sound therapist, certified yoga teacher (India · Yoga Alliance), EREPS level 4 fitness coach and a trainer recognised by the Luxembourg State, Fabiana Sorcinelli has worked with individuals, professionals and companies since 2021. The school brings together what she now passes on to other practitioners, trainers and anyone interested in natural wellbeing.

Course · Applied sound therapy

After the instrument, the session

Knowing how to make a bowl sing is not knowing how to lead a session. The instrument can be learned; what comes next is learned elsewhere: what you set down at the start, the moment you build, the moment you stop, what you say to someone who gets up shaken. These courses begin there. Each module stands alone and can be taken in whatever order you like, on its own or after the others.

Accompanying instruments

Koshi chimes, tingsha, rain stick, sound tree, drum, small bells: the instruments that open, punctuate and close a session. When to bring them in, at what distance, at what volume, and more.

Building a session protocol

Moving from a sequence of sounds to a session that holds: welcome, build, turning point, return, closing words. Building a repeatable protocol and adapting it to the person in front of you.

A range of treatment protocols

Several tested outlines, depending on what the person comes for: deep relaxation, difficult sleep, mental load, living with persistent pain, recovery after a hard episode. For each one, the order of the instruments, the timings, what you announce and what you do not promise.

Group sound bath

Leading for twenty people rather than one: room acoustics, placement, timing, safety instructions, the frame to set before you begin.

Nada yoga

Combining the guided voice with the instruments: where to place sound within deep relaxation, how not to wake what you have just settled.

Sound therapy as self-care

Learning to use two or three simple instruments on yourself: a bowl, a chime, the voice. Building short sequences of five to fifteen minutes, knowing where to place sound on your own body, at what distance and for how long, and saying plainly what self-care does not replace. For anyone who wants to look after themselves day to day, and for the practitioner, who rarely works on themselves.

Durations and prices will be announced when enrolment opens.

Course · Yoga & sound for children

Same rigour, rethought pedagogy

A seven-year-old does not hold a posture for ten breaths and does not lie still for forty minutes under a gong. These courses begin there: same rigour, rethought pedagogy.

Yoga for children

Training for early-years professionals

Designing and leading a yoga class for children: short narrative sequences, postures suited to a growing body, breathing and settling down, handling a group that moves. Pedagogy through play, structured by practice.

What the course covers

  • Building a 30 to 45 minute session for each age group
  • Adapting postures to growth and avoiding contraindications
  • Breathing, settling down and guided relaxation for children
  • Holding a group: pace, frame, attention
  • Working in schools, nurseries, associations or private practice

Sound therapy for children

Yoga teachers · teachers · educators · therapists

Adapting sound work to a child: lower intensities, shorter sessions, selected instruments, distance from the body, active participation rather than passive reception. Safety precautions are central throughout.

What the course covers

  • Choosing instruments by age and hearing sensitivity
  • Setting volume, duration and distance safely
  • Letting the child take part rather than simply undergo the sound
  • Group sessions (class, workshop) and one-to-one work
  • Contraindications, consent and the parent’s role

The framework

What applies to every course

Small groups

Numbers are deliberately kept low: everyone practises on the others and receives, under supervision, throughout the course. The exact number of places is given for each course.

What the certificate means

Each course leads to an Omkara bliss certificate confirming attendance. It is not a state diploma, confers no right to practise a regulated profession and carries no automatic recognition abroad. It is up to you to check the authorisation, membership and insurance requirements that apply in the country where you practise.

Participation of a minor

Workshops for children take place in the presence of, or with the written consent of, the legal guardian, who remains responsible for the child. Professional courses are open to adults only.

A note on health

If you have a persistent symptom, are undergoing treatment, are pregnant, or for a child, seek advice from a health professional before taking part. Certain contraindications (epilepsy, hearing disorders, an implant, pregnancy) must be declared at registration.

Frequently asked questions

Are other instrument-specific courses available?

Yes. Further courses by instrument and by technique are offered by the École Internationale de Sonothérapie.

When will enrolment open?

Dates will be announced first to those on the information list, then published on this page. The courses will open gradually, one path after another.

Do I need to practise already to enrol?

It depends on the path. Applied sound therapy assumes you already play an instrument. The children’s courses are for professionals in yoga, teaching, education or care. The family workshops have no prerequisites.

Do I need to bring my own instruments?

The instruments needed are provided during the course. Where a course includes accompanying instruments to take home, the details are given on that course’s page.

Which language are the courses taught in?

In French. German, English and Luxembourgish are possible depending on the group; please state your language when you enquire.

What happens if a group is not full?

A minimum number of participants is required for a session to run. If it does not take place, a new date is offered or the sums paid are refunded, under the conditions set out in the terms and conditions.

Do these courses lead to medical practice?

No. Sound therapy and yoga are wellbeing and prevention practices. They replace neither advice, nor diagnosis, nor medical treatment, and make no claim to treat any illness.
